I'm still trying to figure out what GSM worldphone I'd like to get.
Since I've got a Treo 600, I don't really need a US phone, but it
would be nice to have a phone that can work everywhere. Nicolas
Cage's magic trailer from Lord of War comes to mind - a SIM card
lined up for every destination.
The Ericsson T39 and the Motorola v600 are my top choices right now.
Both are tough, small flipphones with quad-band (850/900/1800/1900)
GSM capacity, good battery life, and a simple interface. And they're
both relatively cheap. I'm leaning towards the T39 because I had its
predecessor, the T28w, and was a huge fan. The T39 is supposedly
everything one would like about the T28w and then some.
more research & final decision pending
